The Napoleon NK18 is a 47cm charcoal kettle for grilling, slow roasting and smoking, with vortex heat management for a hotter sear and hinged grids for adding charcoal mid-cook.
Burgers and steaks grill over the coals, a chicken slow-roasts with the lid down, and a handful of wood chips or chunks on the charcoal adds smoke. The cooking area is 1,910 sq cm.
Napoleon's vortex heat management improves convection inside the kettle for better searing and smoking, and uses fuel more efficiently. Adjustable stainless steel vents set the airflow, letting the coals burn hot for searing or settle down for a long, low cook, and the top vent is shielded from the weather. The stainless steel grids heat quickly and need little upkeep, and they're hinged, so charcoal, a water pan or smoking wood can go in without lifting off the food. The ACCU-PROBE gauge shows the temperature in the lid, and strengthened leg joints hold the kettle steady at a comfortable cooking height. The lid and bowl are porcelain-enamelled, the lid hangs on a built-in hook, a cool-touch handle lifts it, and weather-proof wheels move it around the garden.
