The Napoleon Timberwolf 22" Smokeless Fire Pit gives you a real wood fire with far less smoke: once the fire is up to temperature, a second burn clears most of the smoke away from a wide 22-inch bowl.
Light it with kindling and a couple of dry hardwood logs, and as the fire builds the smoke dies back to little more than the scent of a campfire, so the evening stays about the flames rather than the smoke. It burns wood, pellets or charcoal, and once the flames settle to glowing embers it's time for toasting marshmallows. A 22-inch Napoleon charcoal kettle grid fits the pit too, turning it into a cooking station for the evening.
Air comes in through the base and is drawn into a second chamber, where it heats up before flowing out through vents near the top of the bowl. That hot air meets the smoke rising off the fire and burns it in a second burn, which is why the fire runs so clean once it's hot. The body is 304 stainless steel with Napoleon's obround vents and flame details, and over time the heat gives it a natural blue, copper or bronze patina. It stands steady on a patio, paving or grass, staying cooler underneath than a traditional fire pit.
The Timberwolf measures 57cm across and 44.5cm high. It comes with its base ring and a drop-in ash tray that lifts out for emptying once the fire has cooled. The spark screen, carry handle, poker and cover are available separately as an accessory set.
