The Napoleon Phantom Prestige 500 Connected is a matt black gas BBQ that sends the cook to your phone, with infrared side and rear burners for searing and spit-roasting.
Four main burners cook across a 71 x 46cm grill, 5,658 sq cm in total, with room for around 31 burgers. The enlarged infrared SIZZLE ZONE side burner gives steaks a deep, fast sear, and the larger infrared rear burner turns a chicken or a joint slowly on a rotisserie. The cast stainless steel grids sear like cast iron and need very little upkeep, and the multifunctional warming rack adds space for starters.
Over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the app shows the temperature, sets timers, gives step-by-step cooking guidance and sends an alert if the grill runs too hot, and it keeps an eye on the gas level too. Temperature probes plug into ports sheltered from the weather, with the readings on the grill's own LCD display. Each burner lights with a jet of flame from the battery-free JETFIRE ignition, and the backlit knobs glow red when the gas is on. Six hidden tool hooks keep the side shelves clear, every surface, from handles to badging, is finished in matt black, and heavy-duty castors lock in place. It runs on bottled gas (LPG), with 24kW across all its burners.
