The Kamado Joe Classic Joe II Discovery Pack adds cast iron searing, a pizza stone and a cover to the 46cm Classic Joe II ceramic grill, which smokes from 107°C and sears at up to 400°C.
The Classic Joe II grills, smokes, roasts and bakes on a 46cm stainless steel grate, 1,717 sq cm in total, with its two-tier Divide & Conquer system putting half-moon racks at different heights. The pack's half-moon pieces each take one side of that system: the ribbed side of the cast iron griddle leaves sear marks, the cast iron grate holds its heat for searing, and the pizza stone bakes pizza on the grill.
The Air Lift hinge takes much of the weight out of the ceramic dome, and the Kontrol Tower top vent holds its setting as the dome opens and closes. A double-thick wire mesh fibreglass seal closes the dome airtight, the patented slide-out drawer clears the ash, and the grill sits in a cart with locking wheels and folding side shelves.
The Discovery Pack adds a Classic Joe cover to protect the grill between cooks, the two cast iron half-moon pieces, a pizza stone, a 9kg bag of Big Block lumpwood charcoal and firelighters. The grill is supplied with stainless steel cooking grates and an ash tool.
