The Napoleon TravelQ PRO285 is a portable gas grill with two stainless steel burners and a lid tall enough to roast a whole chicken, a pork joint or a rib of beef away from home.
The 54 x 37cm grill, 1,840 sq cm in total, takes a full spread for the beach, the campsite or a small patio. Two separately controlled burners deliver 4.1kW, so one side can sear steaks while the other cooks more gently, and the heat is high enough for a proper crust. The porcelain-coated cast iron grids give a non-stick surface that builds up seasoning with every cook, and they hold enough heat to lay down dark, defined sear marks.
Each burner lights with a jet of flame from the JETFIRE ignition, and the ACCU-PROBE gauge in the cast aluminium lid shows the temperature inside, so a roast can cook with the lid down. The ergonomic control knobs give fine control of the heat, from a low, steady roast to a high sear. The grill is finished in black with chrome accents, weighs 16.2kg, and runs from a bottled gas (LPG) cylinder.
