The Traeger Ranger packs wood-fired flavour into a portable grill, ready to cook on the tailgate, at a favourite fishing spot or on a weekend away, at temperatures up to 232°C (450°F).
It smokes, bakes and sears, and the cast iron griddle that comes with it gives steaks and burgers a proper sear. Set it anywhere from 74°C to 232°C (165°F to 450°F), from a low smoke setting for ribs to high heat for searing. It runs on wood pellets, bringing big wood-fired flavour in a portable package. The porcelain-coated steel grate gives 1,135 sq cm of cooking space, with room for a rack of ribs, six burgers or ten hot dogs.
Traeger's Digital Arc controller gives precise temperature control, and Keep Warm Mode holds the food at temperature until everyone is ready to eat. The 3.6kg pellet hopper feeds the fire through the cook, and the grill plugs into a mains socket with its 1.8m power cord. The included meat probe shows how the food is getting on without lifting the lid.
The Ranger comes with a cast iron griddle, a meat probe and a power cord.
