The Napoleon Phantom TravelQ PRO285X is the two-burner PRO285 portable grill in matt black, on a folding scissor stand that stands at a full cooking height and folds down for the car boot or the shed.
The 54 x 37cm grill, 1,840 sq cm in total, takes around 20 burgers at once, and the tall cast aluminium lid leaves room to roast a whole chicken or a joint. Two separately controlled stainless steel burners deliver 4.1kW, so one side can sear steaks while the other cooks more gently. Napoleon's porcelain-coated cast iron WAVE grids leave the distinctive sear marks and build up seasoning over time.
The scissor stand folds up for storage and transport and rolls on all-terrain wheels, and its side shelves have built-in towel and utensil holders, giving space for plates and tools beside the grill. Each burner lights with a jet of flame from the JETFIRE ignition, the ACCU-PROBE gauge shows the heat under the lid, and the ergonomic knobs give fine control. It runs from a bottled gas (LPG) cylinder and is finished in matt black. A warming rack hinges back out of the way when it isn't needed, straps hold the gas bottle on the stand, and the grease tray is reached from the front.
