The Kamado Joe Konnected Joe lights its own charcoal at the push of a button. Set the temperature and its digital fan does the rest, holding the heat for charcoal grilling and smoking on a 46cm ceramic grill.
It grills, smokes, roasts and bakes on a 46cm stainless steel grate, 1,717 sq cm in total, from 107°C (225°F) for low-and-slow cooks to 371°C (700°F), with searing heat from 260°C (500°F). The two-tier Divide & Conquer system puts half-moon racks at different heights, so chicken can cook on one level while lobster tail or asparagus takes the other. Automatic mode gives full digital control, and Classic mode runs it as a traditional kamado.
The Automatic Fire Starter is a heating element in the centre of the firebox. The Kontrol Board sets the temperature and cook mode, runs the meat probe, graphs the cook over 24 hours and sends alerts, and the Kamado Joe app connects over Wi-Fi to adjust the temperature and time, watch the probe or find a recipe. The ceramic dome has an Air Lift hinge, a Kontrol Tower top vent and a built-in thermometer, and ash clears through a slide-out drawer.
The grill sits in a wheeled cart with two side shelves. It is supplied with the Divide & Conquer system, two ceramic heat deflectors, two stainless steel cooking grates, an ash tool and a meat probe.
