The Kamado Joe Classic Joe III Explorer Pack adds a cover and five extra cooking surfaces, including cast iron, soapstone and pizza stone, to the 46cm Classic Joe III ceramic grill, which doubles as a smoker with its SloRoller insert.
The Classic Joe III grills, smokes, roasts and bakes on a 46cm stainless steel grate, 1,717 sq cm in total, with its three-tier Divide & Conquer system putting half-moon racks at three heights. The pack's half-moon pieces each take one side of that system, so two surfaces work at once: the ribbed cast iron griddle leaves sear marks, the cast iron grate holds its heat for searing, the pizza stone bakes pizza, and the soapstone and stainless steel half-moon grate add two more ways to cook.
The SloRoller insert uses cyclonic airflow to control heat and smoke for long, slow cooks. Charcoal sits in a stainless steel basket that separates leftover fuel from the ash, the Kontrol Tower top vent holds its setting as the dome opens and closes, and the Air Lift hinge takes much of the weight out of the dome. The grill sits in a powder-coated steel cart with folding aluminium side shelves.
The Explorer Pack adds a Classic Joe cover to protect the grill between cooks, the five cooking surfaces, a 9kg bag of Big Block lumpwood charcoal and firelighters. The grill is supplied with stainless steel cooking grates and an ash tool.
