The Napoleon TravelQ 240 is a compact portable gas grill with enough cooking space for a group, and a stainless steel burner that gets hot enough to sear, wherever the day ends up.
Its 49 x 34cm grill, 1,666 sq cm in total, takes burgers, sausages, chicken thighs or halloumi skewers for a picnic, a campsite or a small balcony, and the lid closes over them so thicker cuts cook through. The porcelain-coated cast iron WAVE grids hold the heat, leave Napoleon's signature sear marks and keep smaller pieces from slipping through.
A single 2.6kW stainless steel rectangular burner spreads heat across the grill and gets hot enough to put a proper sear on a steak or a burger, and it lights at the push of the JETFIRE control dial, which sends a jet of flame to the burner. The legs fold away for storage and travel, and the shaped handle carries the grill from car to table. When the cooking is done, the drip tray slides out and the firebox opens up for cleaning, ready for the next trip. It runs on bottled gas (LPG) and weighs 11.2kg.
